While we were in Italy together in 2018, my sister Holly asked if I would write a song that her and dad could dance to at the reception of her wedding for a father daughter dance.
Honored, when I next got back to Australia, I sat down with dad at the kitchen table in the house we grew up in and spent the evening asking him about what Holly meant to him and what he wished for her future.
I wrote the song itself when I got to California, shared the first version with Holly and she mentioned some of the words that she wanted to convey from her end to dad.
I recorded the song in Bosnia with my producer Krsto and Nevena recorded the female vocals while we were there (thank you so much Nevena!)
And for the father daughter dance at the wedding reception, Holly and Dad danced to the song… it was beautiful.

Sometimes in life we can get caught up in the day to day busyness of it all and through negative experiences, form beliefs about ourselves, others and the world that hold us back from experiencing a truly extraordinary life.
The limits we place on ourselves can mean losing sight of that creative, curious and playful side of ourselves.
Nothingness is about letting go of those limits, heading into the unknown and exploring what might be possible once agin in order to reach our full potential.

In Northern Argentina this morning… took a 5 hour bus ride last night after flying into the wrong airport yesterday – now there’s a first!
About to be picked up to go into one of the last parts of the Interior Atlantic Rainforest.
My music video showcasing the natural beauty of Colombia has been getting shared – a lot!
30 minutes before I got picked up the official Facebook page for Colombia shared my video and it went viral… was being played more than 5,000 times an hour.
Hold The Power is a story about overcoming adversity and that it’s actually in our darkest days that we realize how strong we truly are.
I actually wrote the song sometime around 2007 and originally recorded it in 2010. The latest version was then recorded and released in 2019.
