What holds us back from achieving our highest potential? For former CEO of 7-Eleven and Blockbuster, Jim Keyes, the answer is simple: fear and self-doubt.
From growing up in a home with no running water to leading global corporations, becoming a commercial pilot, writing books, and advocating for educational transformation, Jim has built an extraordinary life around a core belief: there’s no such thing as failure, only opportunities to learn and evolve.
In this episode, we dive deep into the power of metacognition, overcoming the “caveman brain” response to fear, and how to build unshakable self-confidence through preparation. We explore the traits of great leaders, how AI can revolutionize personalized learning, and why taking 100% responsibility for your life is the ultimate key to freedom.
“I learned at a very early age there’s no such thing as failure. Because you learn. If you learn from every setback and every failure that you have, then who cares?“ — Jim Keyes
